Garden City Peace Marathon - Running for Peace, Unity
& Sustainable Development
The
Maiden Edition of the GARDEN CITY PEACE MARATHON – 2025
held on the 20th of December 2025, in Port Harcourt, Rivers
State.
It was a 10km marathon that commenced at Isaac Boro Park and
ended at Model Secondary Tombia Extension NewGRA, Port
Harcourt.
The Garden City Peace Marathon 2025 was organised to
promote peace, unity, and social development through the power
of sports.
The marathon united individuals across ethnic, cultural,
and social divides in Rivers State and beyond .
Theme was 'Running for Peace, Unity & Sustainable
Development.'
This event also promoted physical wellness, youth
empowerment, and community engagement while showcased the beauty
and hospitality of Port Harcourt City, known as the Garden City.
Despite it being a Peace Marathon, it was a competition
and Winnners emerged.
